Modified Root Elevator Beck
Because of the elliptical shape of the instruments tip, it is easy to penetrate the interdental space with this instrument. Due to the shape, it is possible by turning the instrument 180°, to luxate in four directions, 2 mesial and 2 distal directions. The elevator works during the luxation step with 5-7 supporting points (Hypomochlion), which avoids slipping through because of the different surfaces around the radius, instead of a common round edged instrument, which works only with 1-2 supporting points. This makes Beck Root Elevator much more effective
